Guest Speaker

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agent Jesse R. Garza has been a law enforcement officer for 29 years. His local law enforcement career started in 1992 with two police departments in the Rio Grande Valley and in the year 2000 he began his federal law enforcement career with the U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He currently serves as a Criminal Investigator with HSI. Special Agent Garza has a wealth of experience working Crimes against Children and Cyber Crimes all together.

Project iGuardian: Internet Safety Guide for Parents and Guardians

Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) knows the importance of education and community awareness regarding the dangers of online activity. Providing children, teens, parents, teachers and school administrators with information regarding the potential dangers of online environments and how to stay safe online can help prevent many instances of child exploitation. That is why HSI has partnered with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s NetSmartz and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Forces to develop Project iGuardian.
